Lou Eisenbrandt


Lou has lived with Parkinson’s Disease since 2002. A resident of Overland Park, Kansas, she’s a retired Registered Nurse, and has served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turning Point.  She has had numerous speaking engagements, including presentations to students and community groups concerning her tour of duty (1969-70) as an Army nurse in Vietnam during the war.  She has print work published in “My Tree Called Life”, a book by Turning Point participants.  In addition, her photography has been included in “Explore My KC”.  Her hope for the future is “To live life to the fullest through travel, family and Turning Point, as the scientific world continues to search for a cure for PD using every resource possible.”
Lou is the author of "Vietnam Nurse: Mending and Remembering". It is a memoir that was published in 2015.
